Sigma 150K Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscope (B.I.O.)
Item#: 910.0500.85
Shipping Weight: 2 lbs.
Benefits:
The practice of indirect ophthalmoscopy allows you to examine the periphery of the retina as far as the equator and
Ora Serrata. An observed field of approximately 40˚ can be obtained on the fundus (compared to 8-10˚ with a direct
ophthalmoscope). The working distance between you and your patient is 16 to 19 inches for added safety when
compared to direct ophthalmoscopy.
Features:
•
Light intensity is easily controlled with the use of the mPack power supply (purchased seperately). Bright
enough to penetrate opaque media in the anterior segment, yet the intensity can be lowered to reduce
protective reflex actions of the patient.
•
Stereoscopic view makes it easier to see and interpret elevations and excavations on the retina. The range
of depth of focus is wide, allowing the structure of the retina and the vitreous to be seen simultaneously.
