Here are some simple ways to nurture a caring attitude with pet owners:
• Mail reminder cards for vaccines, heartworm, even pet birthday cards! All of these things
show your concern, are inexpensive and help owners remember the special care you
provide.
• Sponsor a clinic or other pet-related activity in the community.
• Make sure a follow-up call is made to a patient’s owner after major surgery or other
procedure, just to see how recovery is going. It will be appreciated.
